What is Stamping Society?
It’s a monthly tutorial bundle from six different designers all over the world and each month we do a blog hop featuring a certain theme or product and then put together a tutorial and video which you can either purchase, earn for free on our teams or earn for FREE as one of our customers.
See the bottom of this post for more information on that.
Here’s a look at my finished card.
I went to town with this card and took a panel of the gorgeous Fluid 100 watercolour paper.
Our watercolour paper is such gorgeous quality! I stamped a whole heap of the Poinsettia Images all over the front panel in some Versamark ink and heat embossed them all in gold. This created the canvas for watercolour heaven!
I have then watercolored them all in Real Red and went back and added highlights in Poppy Parade for a real POP of colour!
Once this dried a little, I went and added Coastal Cabana over my entire background. This was so much fun!!!
It does take a little while, but it is so worth it!
I definitely recommend using either our Fluid 100 watercolour paper or our Shimmery White Cardstock when doing these kinds of heavily watercolored pieces, as they are designed to be able to take on the water and not go ‘fluffy’ and ruin your watercoloured piece by becoming water logged.
Once this was dry I added some of the stunning Gold metallic speciality paper.
I will admit – I have used an ENTIRE packet of this stuff! It’s gorgeous.
I then decorated with some of the Expressions in Ink Ephemera and and my sentiment on one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I think I am going to be using these loads and they are a great staple to have in your stash! I love that they come with the little ‘hole’ cover – I am sure they have a technical name! haha!
Here’s a close up of my finished card where you can see some more of the texture and detail.
I have added some Wink of Stella for some sparkle of course.
I also added some of the gorgeous Opal rounds. I love these beautiful gems – they are so sparkly!
Here’s a look at the centre of my card where I have added some more Gold Metallic paper and some Linen Thread with some additional stamping and a simple sentiment to finish it off!
I hope you got some inspiration and enjoyment out of today’s card share.
