Hello there – thanks so much for stopping by on this delightful Monday. Another beautiful week and another beautiful Global Design Project challenge to share.
Be sure to pop over to the blog this week and check out the rest of the designers beautiful projects and join in on the challenge!
This week’s challenge is about all things SHAPE!
This could be interpreted in so many ways – maybe you want to make a quilt background, focus on circles, triangles, squares – the choice is yours!
This week I was super inspired to use the brand new Sequin Dies and focus on circles…
Here’s a look at my finished card where you can see the scattering of sequins I have created over my background.
This was originally inspired a little bit by a catalogue sample, but I have popped my own spin on it.
I loved the idea of focusing own son of my favourite colours which usually consists of all things blue, green and bright!
I have incorporated some of the beautiful Silver Brushed Cardstock in so that I have a bit of foil and shine in my design.
Here is a close up look at my finished card.
You can see that I have darkened the edges of my Coastal Cabana cardstock. To do this I simply used Coastal Cabana ink and Blending brush and added some to my edges/corners. This really helped to add more depth to my design.
I also added some of the beautiful new Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper – which I just adore with the striking black and white designs.
To add some more sequin fun – I added some of the green For Everything Fancy Sequins. If you haven’t seen these awesome sequins in the new catalogue, you should definitely check them out – you get three WHOLE tubs in three colour ways.
Here’s a look at the inside where I have added some Designer Series Paper, left over sequins, a bit of blending and a fun & simple sentiment.
I just love how quickly this card came together.
The awesome Sequin Dies are easy to use and cut out multiple sequins at once. You could die cut a whole heap of sequins really quickly to make a multitude of projects in a flash!
Thanks for checking out my blog this week.
Be sure to hop over to the GDP blog and join in.
Crafty hugs! xx
