So a little bit about me…I am a 30 year old Mum/Daughter/Sister from the North West Coast of Tasmania.
In many other past times I have done several different things, I have dabbled in teaching, chef’ing, business, owned my own craft shop, youth worker and now right here and right now a Stampin’ Up demonstrator with the Hello Daysies/Crazy Crafters (and the best place to be!) I am not kidding when I say I am a member of one of the best Stampin’ Up! teams, I am so lucky and blessed!
I am so lucky to have an amazing and supportive family. They have supported my crafting passion since I began at just fourteen, they have seen me ‘grow’ with my crafting. I am lucky to have a little boy, Elijah who is now seven and full of ‘personality’ of his own – he has seen me grow and become my own with my craft and will even sit and make a card with me on occasion!
I have tried my hand at a lot of different crafts including sewing, pocket scrapbooking, scrapbooking, card making, some off the page projects, jewellery making and I am sure plenty more that I have since forgotten about. .
I have since downsized and since having my son Elijah in 2014 I have had a little bit less space and ability to leave precious projects laying around *wink*
I decided to sign up as a Stampin’ Up demo in 2016 when I stumbled across my upline’s blog. I was already familiar with Stampin’ Up! and had been a customer in the past. I hadn’t however used the products in years and I have never in fact until now considered myself a card maker. I love that the craft is in no way limited. I am looking forward to what the future holds for me in terms of memory keeping. Stay tuned!
I now have an amazing team myself within Stampin’ Up! and I love being a team leader. My favourite thing to do is to share this amazing hobby and the benefits it has in so many areas of life. I really have made life long friends through this hobby.
I am currently at Gold title with Stampin’ Up! which was an amazing achievement for me and I was so excited to get there and so blessed with the opportunity to be a Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team member which just blew me away! I am so grateful for the opportunity.
I received this beautiful Artisan Tiffany & Co bracelet when I was a member of the Stampin’ Up! Artisan design team. It’s a treasured memento that I will always treasure as a special moment in my life.
This photo means a lot to me because it also highlights a tattoo that I have on my wrist “La Bella Vita” which is a constant reminder to myself that “Life is Beautiful” or “The Beautiful Life” in Italian.
This is important because I like to have this as a constant reminder that life is beautiful and to always be thankful and look to the positive which is another reason I treasure both Stampin’ Up! and the gift of giving a handmade card to remind others of the beauty in life.
I am a big believer in self care and advocating for mental health! So these are my big ‘whys’ and reasons for craft as it was part of my self care and keeping well! I will always recommend passions and hobbies and pursuing them as I believe it is a very important way to keep yourself well and happy. I began crafting at fourteen years old at the advice of my school counsellor as a way of coping with struggles at school for a therapeutic outlet – here I am now in my 30’s – still crafting and still finding it therapeutic. Once I picked up that paper – there was no going back!
Stampin’ Up! has really changed my life and taken me to new places. I have never been ‘overseas’ on my own and in 2019, Stampin’ Up! saw me boarding a plane to New Zealand to spend the week with my favourite Stampin’ Up! people. I have plans to travel a lot more with Stampin’ Up! and independently as Stampin’ Up! has brought me out of my shell and made me see the potentials!
I hope you get much enjoyment from reading my blog.
